My initial massage training began in 1996 in acupressure and deep tissue work and in the spring of 1998 I began a yoga practice which has steadily progressed. For 4 years I had a private massage practice and worked in a full service spa-resort in Stowe, Vermont where I performed spa and other specialty treatments such as shirodara and hot stone massages. During that time I took workshops and trainings and continued to learn "hands-on". In 2001 I moved to Wilmington to take a full 629 hour massage training- to fill in any gaps and solidify what I had learned over the previous few years. My massage style combines elements of Swedish, acupressure, deep tissue and sports massage and is infused with a yogic awareness of breath, body mechanics and the fusion of mind/body/spirit.
